Hi, my name is Aoife Reilly. I've been playing and teaching West African Percussion for a number of years.There is so much to learn from playing music together that it can transcend barriers between people, their social status, generations gaps, and of course, musical ability.
I give workshops using the musical instruments of West Africa, such as the jembe.This powerful music is the rich voice of celebration, community, spirituality and history from one of the most fascinating parts of the planet.
I am dedicated to the journey of this music as it is moving out of Africa and into Ireland.
